From September 7th to 10th, 2023, the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian  Academy of Sciences, under the patronage of UNESCO and with the support of the Scientific Research Foundation (КП-06-МНФ/4/19.05.2023) and the Municipality of Burgas, organized the Thirteenth International Conference “Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage” – DiPP2023.Invited speakers at the forum were Prof. Dr. Sevdalina Turmanova, University “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” – Burgas and Senior Assoc. Prof. Dr. Radovesta Stewart, Municipality of Burgas, who presented innovative projects and technological developments from the Burgas region.

The Thirteenth International Conference “Digital Presentation and Preservation of Cultural and Scientific Heritage” (DiPP2023) aimed to present innovations, projects and scientific and applied developments in the field of digital documentation, archiving, presentation and preservation of world and national tangible and intangible cultural and scientific heritage. The main focus was on ensuring open access to digitized national cultural and scientific heritage and following sustainable policies for its continued digital conservation and preservation.

The prestigious scientific event was opened on September 7th, 2023 at 12:30 pm at the Regional Library “Peio Yavorov”, Burgas.

─ Seminar “Promoting the Green Transition through University Education on Green Standards”, organized by Burgas Free University, which presented the scientific results achieved from the project “B-Green-ED – Boosting the Green Future via University Micro-Credentials”, funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme, KA220-HED – Cooperation partnerships in higher education.

─ Second information day “Research Infrastructure Services in the Humanities and Social Sciences”, organized by the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics – BAS, which presented the scientific results under the project “National Interdisciplinary Research E-Infrastructure for Resources and Technologies for the Bulgarian Linguistic and Cultural Heritage, Integrated within the European Infrastructures CLARIN and DARIAH (CLaDA-BG)”.
